She has held several senior leadership positions in training and education specializing in the aerospace industry. She was the Managing Director of Boeing Training and Professional Services Australia. She has operated as a qualified airline pilot with ratings on Airbus A319/A340 and Boeing 747 aircraft and holds training and educational qualifications.
Marilyn founded Skyclass Aviation, the largest classic airline in the world, a Dakota DC3 and DC4 operation. Her aircraft and facilities were made famous in the “Amelia” movie with Hilary Swank and Richard Gere. Other visitors included John Travolta. She held positions at Swinburne University of Technology, as a Ground Flight Training Instructor and as the Operations and Program Manager of RMIT University Flight Training School. Marilyn has also worked as a Director of Studies and Trainer in China, and in Rwanda teaching survivors of the genocide.
Marilyn held the position of Director for Boeing Australia Holdings Board and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She is an active council member of The Women in Aviation Australian Chapter and was previously a member of The Air Force Cadets National Council.
She is a passionate mentor and coach, helping women to expand their horizons and seek greatness beyond their limiting beliefs. She is a popular and exciting speaker, inspiring her audiences with tales of high heels in the cockpit and triumphing in a male dominated workspace.
