Ash Rosshandler is responsible for rescuing gorillas and finding cures for cancer. He also aids in clearing landmines and educating kids. As founder and CEO of the Karma Currency Foundation www.karmacurrency.org it is his job to support over 200 leading Australian charities. Not bad going for a reformed creative ad man who helped sell 2-minute noodles, nail fungus cream, fly spray and more crap than even he cares to remember!

But what advertising taught him was to find and execute the BIG IDEAS. And his idea of Karma Currency – Australia’s first online tax deductible Charity Gift Voucher has gone on to win the Australian ICT Innovator of the Year Award and the Tattersall’s Enterprise Achievement Awards. Moreover, the website is now the largest Charitable Gift Registry in the Southern Hemisphere (soon to be the world) and is on target to raise over $500,000 in its second year of operation.

Ash’s message of the benefits of ‘corporate karma’ has caught the attention of television (9AM with David and Kim and Sunrise). Plus the Harvard Business School, the NAB, Metlink and Origin Energy have all partnered in this idea. Even the entertaining ‘Kamahl’ has happily come on board.

With a background that includes philosophy, stand up comedy, playwriting and accounting Ash’s style is open, honest, inspirational and self deprecating.
